Cook

We are looking for a well experienced cook to work for private clients located in Monaco and the South of France.

Responsibilities

  • Create workstations with the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare the ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Cook food using a variety of utensils or grillers
  • While cooking, check the food to stir or turn it
  • Dress dishes before serving to ensure a beautiful presentation
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment
  • Make certain that all food and other items are properly stored
  • Examine the ingredients' quality
  • When there are shortages, keep an eye on the stock and place orders

Skills

Food safety

  • Cooks must ensure that the food they prepare is safe for consumption. Understanding local health regulations and industry food safety standards can help you avoid foodborne illnesses. Knowing the proper temperature to cook and store food, for example, can help you reduce the rate of spoilage

Cleanliness

  • One of the most important skills that employers look for is cleanliness. Cleanliness promotes kitchen and food safety while also presenting your customers with a pleasant and healthy environment. You can demonstrate these skills by cleaning and sanitizing your kitchen tools every time you finish cooking

Originality

  • Experience in fine dining, professional skills in Mediterranean cuisine, excel in preparing healthy but elaborate food with high quality products

Communication

  • Excellent communication abilities in English, additional languages will be considered a plus
